Hair Care Kits
Many of the children and youth we represent are placed in homes and residential facilities where hygiene products specific to their needs are not available to them due to the cost of these products. Many of our children of color, once removed from their families are not provided culturally specific hygiene products to ensure their hair and skin are properly cared for. Children whose skin and hair are taken care of are shown to have more self-confidence and feel better about themselves in social situations. We have included culturally specific hygiene products on our Amazon Wish List (Youth Law Center)-Hair & Skin Care Kits if you would like to purchase some of these products for our children.
