Legal Internships
Law Students who have successfully completed their 1L year and are in good standing with their law school can apply to have an internship with the Youth Law Center. We are currently accepting applications for the Spring 2023 semester. Law Students who intern with the Youth Law Center have practical, "hands on" experience and will be provided the opportunity to observe court, participate in client meetings, home visits, professional staffings and experience specialty courts. Interns work and observe in legal matters encompassing all areas of child welfare and juvenile justice proceedings. Interns assist the Executive Director on special projects and staff with legal research and writing. To apply, email jhagemeier@youthlawcenter.org.
